6:30pm, 25th September(Doors open at 6:20pm)
30-minute group event (ages 16+)
This is a little different to That Sound Lady's usual events. It's the first seated Gong Meditation, and she'd love you to leave some feedback afterwards.
Whether your mind feels busy, your body feels tense or you simply need a moment to breathe, this is your chance to pause and reset.
Arrive to calming sounds, make yourself comfortable on your mat and cushion, then simply close your eyes for 30 minutes.
If you've been to previous That Sound Lady events, you may be expecting a guided relaxation to begin. This time, we'll dive straight into the immersive sounds of the gongs and other therapeutic instruments,
A blanket
An eye mask (optional)
A bottle of water
Comfort is key, so wear loose, comfortable clothing.
If sitting on the floor isn't comfortable for you, you're very welcome to use one of the chairs available at the side of the room.
Please switch off your phone and allow yourself to fully switch off too.
Sometimes you'll hear outside noises or the sounds of others getting settled. Life is rarely silent.
During a Sound Bath, we practise letting those sounds exist without letting them carry us away. Simply notice them, return your attention to your breath, and allow yourself to settle again.
It's a skill that becomes easier with practice, and one you may find helpful long after the session ends.
Drink plenty of water, enjoy nourishing food and take things gently if you can. Many people leave feeling deeply relaxed, so give yourself a little time before rushing back into a busy evening.
Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended.
